Mockumentary Planning Meeting: 1-10-12


Attended by: Lauren Young, Lauren Mayne, Reiss Ledwich, Ore Olowokere.


Reiss Ledwich left halfway through the meeting.


Agenda: Ore will take on the role of Director, Lauren M as the Camera lady, Reiss as the assistant technical director and Lauren Y as the costume and props manager and assistant director. Everyone will take on the role of being an actress.

Show would be aimed at females and would like to see both sides of Bermondsey (rough and posh). ‘LIFE SWAP’. Posh Bermondsey girl in ‘rough’ Bermondsey. Two families swap. Families mean that the show will have a range of opinions. A range of different features. Guided tour of Bermondsey (and schools). ‘History of Bermondsey’. Nonsense that looks like history. Bermondsey language lessons. Parenting in Bermondsey. Star-crossed lovers (chav and totty).
Costumes
Rough Bermondsey: Tracksuits, short skirts, ‘chavvy’. Posh Bermondsey: prim and proper, neat, snobby. School uniforms reflect person (e.g. short skirts for ‘chavvy’ Bermondsey girl)
Shots and techniques
Overview of Bermondsey. Character interviews AND voice-overs (narrator, not characters). Close-ups of characters to see features and outfit to identify the stereotype. Subtitles for ‘rough Bermondsey’ to mock the slang.
Characters
Group of chavvy/ ghetto girls and a gang of ‘rough boys’ (obviously not tough).
Two groups of rival ‘posh girls’ who get down and dirty with it when it comes to fights.
Posh family, chavvy/rough family for LIFE SWAP.
‘Parents’ for parenting segment.
