Coca Cola Advert (not finished)

All of the adverts advertise the same products, however, the target audience are different so all people are covered. It is most important to target adverts and not products because then you can ensure you can sell your products to a range of people and make more money. Advertising is important when it focuses an audience.

In this print advert the target audience is for male for any age, the reason why I say this is because we can see there is a man sitting on a chair at the beach, and that he is looking for his drink but it has been taken by the penguin, the reason why I say for any age because all though they might be an old man, they have used a penguin because it is funny, so that means that younger boys would want to drink it because it remind of “Happy Feet” and also “Surfs Up” and they have enjoyed it so that’s why it would appeal to all ages.

The advert uses the technique called humour to catch people’s attention , I say this because we can see that the penguin has taken the mans’ coca cola and enjoying the drink. Coca Cola has used this technique because  when people see it, the first thing they would do is laugh, this would make people want to buy it because they would think that Coca Cola has this fun and laughing environment.

This is a promising start Ore but I am afraid you have only started to explore this print advert. You have identified one convetion and started to explain who the target audience is based on that one convention.

Target - discuss a range of conventions and explain what you can tell about the targeta udience from each convention.
